BIOGRAPHY


RALF GOTTLIEB,
Ralf Gottlieb, born 08.20.1975, made his first musical steps with eight years by taking organ lessons.Eight years later, Ralf fell in love with drums and started taking lessons at the MODERN DRUM SCHOOL. Meanwhile, he played in several local rockbands.At numerous MDS intensive courses, he got inspired by teachers like Steve Houghton, Ed Soph, René Cremers,....
1996 he decided to attend the one year programm of the Los Angeles Music Academy, where he got taught by Ralph Humphrey,Joe Pocaro,Mike Shapiro and Mark Schulmann in all different styles of music.Shortly before leaving Germany, the CD of his band GOMORRA was released and got reviews from all over the world.1997 Ralf started teaching for the MMS at three locations. He has now more than 60 excited students and gave numerous workshops at public schools. With the MMS-Drumline he played many sensational gigs at different occasions, he is playing gigs in the most different styles and made himself a name as a reliable livedrummer. Since September 2003, he is "Drum Departement Head" of the Modern Music School.Ralf is author of the Modern Music School curriculum, which is distributed europeanwide and dealing with grooves for total beginners up to oddtimme drumming. Since 1997 he is playing in bands of all different styles, such as SOLAR SPINE, with whom he released two cds.1998-2002 he released two cds with the progressive metal band TOMORROW'S-Eve and was touring with Rage and Paul DiAnno.At the moment Ralf is playing with Tell your mother. Early 2002 they released their first single "Just sitting here" with the appendant videoclip. "Just sitting here" was produced in the Woodhouse Studios by Siggi Bemm & Dan Diamond.
Numerous festivalgigs followed like the Open Flair or the Taubertal festival which was broadcasted in TV and radio by BR3. They also played showcases like the WDR Rockpalast. August 2002 their album "I like you" was released and is distributed by BMG.
